IT, eBusiness strategy and architecture

Darryl Carlton built one of the largest Java software companies in the world with a development centre in Malaysia and Denver (USA) and offices in Singapore, China and Australia. He pioneered the concept of the ASP business model, and delivering ERP as web-based service.

He has advised the Victorian State Government on IT strategy matters. He was course convenor and senior lecturer at the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship, where he developed and lead the IT program.

Darryl specialises in business and technology transformation. His experience includes strategic alignment of IT with the business, enterprise architecture, software development and delivery. He has worked in Asia and the USA for over ten years and has extensive local and international experience

Darryl has a track record in designing and building innovative IT solutions. In many cases these have provided first mover advantage or a strategic breakthrough for his clients. He is very highly regarded for his strategic thinking and for transforming vision into reality

Darryl has been responsible for projects ranging in value from small, fast and quick tasks to innovative development projects costing millions to tens of millions of dollars. He has also been responsible for complex strategy and architecture projects for organisations with IT budgets exceeding $1 billion.

Darryl is Senior Lecturer in eBusiness & Internet Business Models at Swinburne’s AGSE.
